Actors in television soaps have sported this cap along with coats decades ago but they set such a trend back then, that the flat cap became tremendously popular among men and almost everybody was seen wearing it. These caps are so popular, that even celebrities have been spotted sporting them. Football star David Beckham always made sure that his wardrobe had flat caps of various colours, patterns and materials in it. Also, film director, Guy Ritchie has been seen wearing flat caps with many of his outfits ever since he directed ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ way back in 1998.
The flat caps have been sported by the posh and royals like Prince Charles as well as workers, in the UK. This cap has certainly made its place among people. If one stands in central London, he will certainly spot more than one sporting men's flat caps. In fact, if you just observe the crowd during lunch hour, you will spot plenty of men sporting the famous flat cap. The flat cap is just as famous all over the world as it is in the UK. Take Hollywood for example, many actors sport flat caps along with their outfits.
Now coming back to the reason why flat caps have become so popular. One huge reason is that celebrities all over the world wear it therefore making it a huge trend and another reason is that workplaces these days allow employees to dress casually. This means, more and more men are buying their favourite flat cap and sporting them even at work as there are no restrictions. These caps are also preferred by many because they fit nicely on the head and do not fall off easily.
